Cocaine in Cement Bag: Indian-heal Gurvinder Singh arrested in Australia for running international smuggling network

Gurvinder Singh, a 42-year-old Indian-origin Australian man, has been arrested after a two-year-old multi-agency investigation for allegedly mastered an international drug racket, smuggling 20 million illegal cigarettes and about half ton of drugs in Sydney, Australia said today. The racket consisted of a network of “reliable interiors” in the racket that hidden cocaine, 280 kg of liquid fainted and port features that helped the rack. Syndicate generated at least $ 443,000 in income from selling illegal cigarettes on Sydney’s black market alone.
Suspicious shipment from Vancouver
In August 2024, the Australian police stopped a consignment of 280 kg of Menthafetamine sent from Vancouver in Canada. Officials detected illegal cargo for a cladstine cool-down operation at Reversion and arrested two people who led Singh to the investigation. Further investigation revealed that similar shipments were coming from Panama, UAE and during an operation police also exchange of cocaine with an individual substance.
150 officials raided Singh’s property
Last week, more than 150 officials raised coordinated and Singh was caught outside a private residence. Six colleagues- two of whom are Canadian citizens, 24-year-old Aman Kang and 31-year-old Mani Singh Dhaliwal were also detained.Singh faces a total of five cases of border-controlled drugs and a commercial quantity of illegal tobacco, two matters to deal with the income of crime, and two counts related to leading a criminal group.If convicted, he can withstand life imprisonment. Kang and Dhaliwal face each with a commercial amount of drugs and participate in a criminal group. All the suspects were denied bail during their initial performance and the downing center will appear in the local court in July.Singh’s lawyer argued that his client should be released on bail due to his underlying health conditions and is also the only breadwinner of the family.
