5.1 magnitude earthquake hit San Diego

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), a strong but shallow earthquake hit Southern California with a magnitude of 5.1 on Monday.
It was centered around 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) south of the shivering Julian, a small city located about 20 miles from the US-Maxico border. It originated at a depth of eight miles and then a series of small afterchox.
There was no immediate report of injuries or damage to the infrastructure.
The southern California is located with the range of several tectonic plates, which makes it one of the most seismic seismic active areas in the United States.
The region has experienced several major earthquakes in the past, including the 1994 devastating North Earthquakes, killing dozens and causing a loss of billions of dollars.
California’s most infamous earthquake remains 1906 San Francisco Earthquake, which triggers a broad fire and a tsunami, resulting in an estimated 3,000 deaths.
