New Delhi: As the Supreme Court on Wednesday read to hear a group of petitions challenging the Waqf Amendment Act, a petition by advocate Hari Shankar Jain demanded scrapping several provisions of the Waqf Act, 1995, and recently amended the amendment of illegally by Waqf accused him of using his use as a tool for illegal qualities.
In his petition, Jain, who is at the forefront of restoration for restoration Gyanvapi Mosque At the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and Idgah in Mathura, and the Krishna Janamathan Temple, it is challenged as six sections of the Wakef Act, alleging that these provisions are capable of illegally catching the qualities related to public utilities, government, village society and Hindu temples due to these provisions.
For the petitioner, advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain repeatedly filed before a bench of CJI Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar, which was filed for the protection of civil rights for AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, AAP Executive Amnatullah Khan, NGO ‘Association. Jamiathul Ulema ‘, Anjum Kadari, Advocate Taiyab Khan Salmi, Mohammad Shafi of SDPI, All India Muslim Personal Law Board General Secretary Mohad Fazalurrahim and RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha.
Petitions were also filed by DMK MP A Raja, who were part of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Waqf Bill and CPI, but were not listed with other groups of petitions. TVK President Vijay, Congress MPs Mohammad Jabde and Jamaat-e-Islami have also shifted SC against the Act.
An important objection to the changes made by Parliament to the WAQF Act was that they discriminate against Muslims on religious grounds and try to exclude them from to the vaqf properties meaningfully administered, which is the creation of their trust.
