Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court Formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for investigation Data theft But Newspaper research and technologies Private Limited by former Drone Manufacturing Company employees.
Now the matter will be reinstated by SIT, headed by DGP Pranab Mohanty. IPS officer Bhushan Gulab Rao Borsse and Nisha James will be the other members of the team.
In his order, Justice M Nagprasana Said that the state government should immediately submit the investigation to the SIT, which will have to submit a report within three months,
The newspaper demanded an SIT to investigate its complaint to the police that its former employees stole data and started their own company by compromising National security,
The government’s lawyer presented that the earlier investigating officer was entangled in the corruption case and a new officer took charge. He said that the High Court could monitor the investigation.
Justice Nagprasana said that the petitioner has a huge customer consisting of national security randors such as the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy, Bell, HAL, and DRDO, and, all its contracts are highly sensitive. The stolen information belongs to a state -of -the -art unmanned air -un -vehicle (UAV).
The judge also surprised how former vice -president of the newspaper Prabhat Sharma, who was arrested, was issued a “notice for appearance”. The judge said that this is only a “paper arrest”.
Justice Nagaprasanna said that the Custodial inquiry should have ended in the only presence before the investigating officer.
