Legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has called the Bengaluru stampede “beyond” tragic. The stampede claimed 11 people and 33 others were injured. The incident said that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was a heartbreaking tragedy in the historic Meden IPL Triumph.Tendulkar said in a post on X, “What happened at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is sad. My heart leaves for every affected family. Wish everyone peace and power.” The minister said, “The stadium has a capacity of only 35,000 people, but 200,000-300,000 people came.”He said that a Vijay Street Parade was closed by the winning team as the authorities had estimated an uncontrollable crowd.“The pain of this tragedy has also eradicated the joy of victory,” Siddaramaiah said, who ordered an inquiry into deaths.He said, “I do not want to defend this incident, tragedy … Our government is not going to play politics on it,” he said.“It should not have been a tragedy. We are with the victims.”
