New Delhi: A police complaint was filed against cricketer Virat Kohli on Friday, two days after a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, in which 11 people were claimed to be the Jan Chinnaswamy Stadium and 56 people were injured in Bengaluru.Social activist HM Venkatesh submitted a complaint at the Cuban Park Police Station in the city. The police said the complaint would be considered under the already registered case and an inquiry will be done during the ongoing investigation into the Stamped incident, the news agency ANI said.The stampede occurred as a large number of people, who came to the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), of whom Kohli is a former captain and played since he has played after the Indian Premier League (IPL) started in 2008, was celebrating his first title.In the final, held in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, RCB defeated Punjab Kings for the first time to live the IPL, leading to a wild ceremonies in the country’s IT capital.According to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, 2-3 lakh fans prepared to participate in the ceremonies. On the other hand, the land capacity is around 35,000.Under the fire, the state government suspended the Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand and several senior police officers, and ordered the arrest of RCB, DNA Entertainment Private Limited and representatives of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.It also handed over the investigation to the Judicial Commission, the Judge of the retired Karnataka High Court, Justice Michael Kunha.
