Bank Holiday Today: Are banks open or closed on the occasion of Eid al-Dada 2025; Check the details

New Delhi: In many parts of India, banks will be closed according to the Holiday schedule of the Reserve Bank of India, in adherence to Eid al-Dada (Bcrid) on 6 and 7, 2025.Eid al-Aadha is expected to be celebrated in India on Friday 7 June based on the Moon philosophy. However, banks in Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi) will inspect the holiday on Friday, June 6, a day before.The day is likely to be celebrated as a public holiday in most parts of the country. Schools, colleges, banks and government offices are expected to be closed to mark the opportunity.
Bank closure details for June 6, 7 and 8
- June 6 (Friday): Banks were closed in Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi) for Bacrid.
- June 7 (Saturday): Although June 7, 2025 is the first Saturday of the month, most of the banks across India will be closed due to regional holidays for banks for banks. However, banks in some cities including Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will be open as usual, as the first Saturday is not a standard bank holiday.
- June 8 (Sunday): All banks will be closed as usual for weekly holidays across the country.

Yes. Digital banking services including UPI, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, NEFT, and IMPS will be completely operational during the holidays. Customers can continue using online services for transactions, transfer and other necessary banking works.According to RBI, June 2025 has 12 bank holidays, including weekends and regional festivals.
