New Delhi: After the entry of the University of Wolongong and the University of Dacin University, Australia is now expanding its footprint in school education, as Australia is now expanding its footprints in school education, as WACE WACE WACE has become the first foreign Govt-supported school board to start operating in India, which is facing equivalent for Indian universities for Class X and Classi XII. This is the first such approval for a foreign board in India in 25 years.WACE, or a certificate of Western Australian education, is a school-moving qualification for students in Western Australia, administered by the State School Course and Standards Authority (SCSA). Wais, or Western Australian International School System, is the outline through which the course is given in international partner schools.
ANGE Smith, leading advisor for international education at SCSA, said that the board has been running its international education program since 1987 and has started expanding its global presence more actively in 2019. “Since then, we have worked with the government in many countries to secure the government’s equivalence in many countries. The most rigorous but rewarding in India. The board is currently operational in 16 countries.He said that the National Education Policy 2020 played an important role in shaping its admission strategy. “We maps the course and found alignment with NEP preferences, especially overall development, skill integration and adventurous to nurture students.”Explaining the course structure, Smith said that WAIS students take five subjects in class XI and XII, which has the option to take six. English is compulsory, but only the top four ATARs (Australian Tertiary Entrance Rank) courses count towards the final university entry score. “Atar is 50% in the final examination and 50% based on school-card research. It reduces pressure and supports continuous performance over two years,” she said.In response to the request of the Indian partner schools, Smith confirmed that work is going on to start the 10th board exam for WAIS students in India. “Some Indian states may require a 10th board certificate for infection, so we are developing one specifically for this reference,” he said.Syed Sultan Ahmed, president of the Association of International Schools in India, said that WAIS provides balance between access and international standards. “It sits between CBSE and Cambridge. A CBSE school charges Rs 1 – 1.2 lakhs annually, which can adopt WAIS with an increase in 15-20% fee. It opens global routes without the requirement of 45 million fees like IB, “he said. India’s first WAIS partner schools have been established both in Bangalore and Bodar in Karnataka.Ahmed said that Atar rank Wais helps students apply in universities globally without separate entrance examinations like SAT or JEE. He said, “ATAR integrates certification and university eligibility. This is a system for both. Students also become eligible for a premiere of AUD 20,000 if they choose to study in Western Australia,” he said.The course includes seven general capabilities: literacy, numerical, ICT, moral understanding, citizen and social responsibility, important and creative thinking and mutual understanding.
