At least 72 arrested in Bangladesh after anti -Israeli protests

According to the Dhaka Tribune report, at least 72 people were arrested in Bangladesh on Wednesday to join barbarity and robbery during a large -scale anti -Israeli protests earlier this week.
Demonstrations took place on Monday in several cities including the capital Dhaka, as thousands of people took to the streets to condemn Israel’s continuous military functions in Gaza. The protesters from various political, social, religious, cultural and professional organizations joined the forces among the organizers described as part of a global movement supporting Palestinians.
However, the protests became violent when in cities such as Bogra, Sylhet, Cox Bazaar and others, mobs brutally to shop and businesses, to have a relationship with Israel with some targeted outlets. Businesses such as Bata, KFC and Pizza Hut were attacked as protesters called for boycott of Israel-conferred products.

However, while many ceremonies remained peaceful, some became violent, causing property damage and theft incidents.
Yunus says, “The police has gone to take fast action.
Bangladesh’s Interim Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus addressed the unrest in a statement posted on X. “These attacks and barbarity are one affected by public safety and law rule.”
He further confirmed that at least 60 persons were initially arrested.
In an first X post on Monday, Younus strongly condemned Israel’s works in Gaza: “The Government of Bangladesh expressed its strongest condemnation of Israeli -occupied forces, which is a massive murder and gross violation of gross violation of human rights in the Gaza Strip.”
He referred to the situation as a “human havoc”, given that the violation of Israel’s ceasefire agreements caused the death of the score of Palestinians – many of them also prevent humanitarian aid – while many of them – while preventing humanitarian aid.
