Arjun is closed on Erica Da Gukesh because two Indians make chess news of the top -5 of the latest Fide ratings

Arjun is closing in the position of India No. 1 of Arigasi de Gukesh, scoring five points FideApril rating list to reach within five digits of Gukesh’s 2787 rating. Uday of Erigasi has also inspired him at World No. 4, beating Fabiano Caruana.
The Erigasi had earlier lost his India number 1 ranking to Gukesh in January, after his performance at Tata Steel Masters in Vijak On Zee, Netherlands. While Gukesh achieved a runner-up finish, Erigasi struggled with only two wins in 14 matches.

21-year-old Erigasi, who was earlier at the 2800-Aloe Club, has shown a strong recovery with four wins in Bundesleiga. His recent performance is a significant comeback from his New Year’s decline.
Gukesh maintains his world number 3 position in the rankings. Hikaru Nakamura is stable in second place with 2804 points, while Magnus Carlson has continued her dominance at the top with 2837 points, a position she has held from mid -2011.
Other Indian players have also achieved remarkable success. R Praggananandha reached a career-high ranking, which was at seventh position by displacing Vi Yi of China. Arvind Chitparam made remarkable progress, scoring 17.5 points to get his best ranking of 11th place.
