Apara Ekadashi 2025: Importance
According to Hindu scriptures, Apara Ekadashi holds a great religious and spiritual significance. Every Ekadashi is celebrated with great enthusiasm by Vaishnavas. Each Ekadashi has its own belief, rituals and stories. Many followers of Vishnu fast and worship Lord Vishnu on this special day of Ekadashi. After giving Lord Vishnu Bhog Prasad on Dwadashi Tithi, Ekadashi fasting can be broken on time.It is said in the Hindu scriptures that Lord Krishna had expelled the importance of Yudhishthir, the king of the Pandavas, Apara Ekadashi. The Pandavas fasted on this specific day to win the Mahabharata battle, and reflect the word “immense”. Lord Vishnu makes the devotees the best with unlimited happiness, wealth, and he also fulfills the wishes of the devotees. Apara Ekadashi 2025: Pooja Ritual
- After bathing, devotees start their puja rites early in the morning.
- Arrange an idol of Lord Vishnu, light a lamp with desi ghee, and offer a garland or flower.
- For evening worship, prepare Panchamrit (milk, ghee, curd, honey, and sugar) and bhog offerings.
- Offer the prepared bhog prasad and recite Lord Vishnu Aarti.
- On the day of Ekadashi, the mantra “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya” should be chanting continuously.
- To receive blessings, most followers visit the temples of Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu.
- The next day of Dwadashi Tithi, the fast is broken.
- In the evening of Ekadashi, devotees who are unable to control their hunger can eat satvic food.
