Soha Ali Khan step with advice
As social media discussed with harsh comments, Ibrahim’s aunt Soha Ali Khan has now given some heartfelt advice in a conversation with Naideep Rakshit on his YouTube channel. Speaking honestly, he did not sugarcane to the reality of the industry and emphasized the need to tighten young actors.
“Number one, I think you need thick skin when you join this world,” Soha said, indicating how cruel the entertainment world can be. He said, “You need to be able to digest people’s opinions, or do not read the comments. But, I think, sometimes, it is important to read the comments because you can’t only work in a vacuum. You have to be receptive for some criticisms, and you have to work on your craft and move forward.”
Soha’s advice was not just about ignoring hate. She believes in listening to the response – even uncomfortable types – and use to grow. In his words, “Stay open to work on criticism, introspection, self-criticism, and your craft, but also have a thick skin and do not let anyone’s opinion bring you down. Do not give the success or failure of your film, perhaps, destroy you in ways, but also recognize that you need to work and become better.”
Yes there is no place for men
One of the strongest pieces of Soha’s advice was that a young actor was about such people. He always warned against being surrounded by people who only praise.
“There is a lot of hatred in the world,” he said. “And actors become an easy goal because we push ourselves out of there.” He explained that instead of closing the world and living in a bubble of comfort, actors should be open for all kinds of opinions.
He said, “The only thing that can do can be some kind of armor and cannot close themselves to the world, not just love yourself and surround yourself with those who are going to say positive things and are like yes-men,” he said.
