New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will continue as the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for the next two years after his unanimous election at the party’s annual Mahanadu Conclave.The announcement was made on the second day of the three -day program, where senior party leader and TDP Election Committee Chairman Varla Ramaiya announced the result in front of thousands of party workers. Ramaiya said, “Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been elected as the National President of TDP for the next two years.”A special election office was established to conduct internal voting. According to Ramaiya, around 600 TDP leaders supported Naidu’s nomination, resulting in an uncontested election.Ramaiya later administered the oath of office to Naidu, which marks another term in his long leadership of the party. Naidu has been leading the TDP since 1995 and has now completed almost three decades in the party’s hull.Nadu’s election again shortly afterwards, returning to power in a landslide victory in Andhra Pradesh.
