‘An incredible piece of real estate’: Trump revives the Gaza acquisition idea during a conversation with Netanyahu

US President Donald Trump reiterated his controversial motion to the United States to take control of the Gaza Strip. Sitting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump described Palestinian Enclave as a “important piece of significant real estate” and suggested that the US regime could bring stability in the region.
Trump said in detail on his vision, “Being a peace force like the United States, controlling the Gaza Strip and ownership would be a good thing.” He proposed to transfer around two million Palestinian residents of Gaza to other countries, stating that “many countries” would be ready to accept them.
However, the plan has faced significant opposition from Arab countries including Egypt and Jordan, which has strongly rejected the perception of resuming the Palestinians displaced within their boundaries.
Prime Minister Netanyahu did not clearly support the plan, but accepted the need for a new approach to Gaza’s challenges. He highlighted Israel’s commitment to end the influence of Hamas and expressed openness to discuss the future rule of the region. Netanyahu highlighted the ongoing efforts to secure the release of the hostages organized by Hamas, “We are now working on another deal that we hope we will succeed, and we are committed to exit all the hostages.”
Earlier, France, Jordan and Egypt leaders issued a joint statement advocating the Palestinian Authority to take control of Gaza, a proposal that Israel rejected earlier. He emphasized the importance of honoring Palestinian sovereignty and warned against unilateral tasks that could further destabilize the region.
In February, Donald Trump proposed that the United States controls the Gaza Strip, which aims to rebuild the region at a prosperous economic center. During a briefing with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Trump underlined a plan to clean the land of dangerous residues, such as vague bombs, and infrastructure to develop, build jobs and housing.
He described the project as converting Gaza into one of the world’s largest developments. Trump later echoed it on the truth social, suggesting that the Palestinians would be resettled in more modern communities, in which the US led the development. He claimed that no American military presence would be required, despite the widespread opposition to their vision, saying that such a plan would bring stability in the region.
