265 Mumbai-Bound Fliers are still stuck in Turkey for more than 30 hours

New Delhi: After removing the aircraft due to medical emergency on Wednesday, it has exceeded 30 hours as 265 passengers of the Virgin Atlantic London-Mumbai flight. Then there was a technical issue in the flight, which further delayed.
Requesting the officials to respond, Aam Aadmi Party leader Preeti Sharma Menon said in a post on X, “Can anyone please answer?”
Virgin Atlantic replied, saying that passengers were accommodated in a hotel and the airlines were working on a solution to set passengers on a trip to Mumbai “tomorrow”.
“Hi @Preetismenon, we are honest for the disintegration experienced due to immediate medical turn. Our customers are now in the hotel residence overnight in Turkey, while we work towards a resolution tomorrow so that they can continue their journey to Mumbai. We will keep all the customers informed.”
“When we landed, first we stayed on the ship in the aircraft for five hours. Then we were asked as the requirement of airline to fix a technical issue on the aircraft.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy assured that it was in constant contact with the airlines about the “initial solution of the issue”.
“Embassy of India, Ankara Virgin Atlantic Airlines, Directorate of Diyarbakir Airport and Ministry of Foreign AFAIIRS, are in constant communication with Turki. Through the coordination of the mission, proper care is being increased for the passengers, we are discussing for the initial resolution of the issue with the concerned authorities and we are discussing for the arrangement of a turnover.”
