Amarnath Yatra starting from 3 July; 3.3L pilgrims registered so far. Bharat News

Srinagar: More than 3,31,000 devotees have so far registered for this year’s Amarnath Yatra, which is scheduled to start from both routes on 3 July — Pahgam in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district.The yatra will be coincided with the festival of Raksha Bandhan on August 9, 2025. It was revealed during the 49th board meeting of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) under the chairmanship of Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.During the meeting, LG reviewed the preparation of the journey, including the base camps and routes as well as the arrangements and necessary facilities, a government spokesman said. Members of the Shrine Board attended the meeting.The spokesman said that the board made a comprehensive review of the preparations for all the departments concerned and carried forward the measures and interventions proposed to further improve the facilities for the devotees.He said, “LG evaluated progress on various ongoing projects and directed to complete timely identified works for the convenience of pilgrims,” ​​he said.Sinha said, “The safety and welfare of pilgrims is our top priority. We are committed to providing better facilities and facilities for all pilgrims to ensure trouble -free and spiritually rich experience.”The meeting also discussed important matters related to the establishment of Yatri Nivas and Transit Camps at various places, which increase the housing capacity, expansion of prasad sales counters, operation of yatri facility centers, online services by board, issuing RFID cards and verification and verification of pilots and service provisions.
