Indian cinema is once again ready to shine in the prestigious Festival Day Cannes, as actors Alia Bhatt and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan confirm their performance in this year’s version of the Grand event. The actress, who is the Indian face of the global beauty brand, will be involved in an impressive lineup of international personalities. Marking her much-awaited start in Cannes, Alia said in a statement on PTI, “There is something special about the first-and I am very excited to start my Festival Day Cannes this year, a prestigious festival of cinema and self-realization.” The actor and producer also talked about the developed definition of its beauty, “For me, beauty is about celebrating personality, confidence and self-values. It is infinite, it is unique. I am proud to stand with a brand that celebrates every woman’s journey and empowers them to shine in their lights.”Alia will join Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whose shows in the last two decades have become synonymous with Indian elegance and global glamor. While both are confirmed to make their appearance, there is no confirmation that fans will get both to see the red carpet together.
