Kollywood star Ajit Kumar has shared his views on being honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday (28 April). His wife – former actress Shalini Ajit Kumar – also shared some glorious pictures with this program on her social media handle.

In a recent interview with India Today, Ajit opened about the honor: “Honestly, it is still not drowned. I am still a plain middle class person, and it seems so real to be here and feels all these emotions. I am happy and overwhelmed.” He said that it confirms that he is on the right path, motivates him to be committed to his work and values because he moves forward.
Ajit dedicated his victory to his wife Shalini. He said, “I am grateful to my family for his support. Shalini … she made a lot of sacrifices. She is my column; I am very grateful to the universe,” he said. He thanked his fans for his unconditional love through thick and thin.
Ajit also talked to the industry about Shalini’s break: “I am not trying to make a politically right voice here. I mean it was very popular in every sense. He was very popular and loved people. And for him just to take a backseat … Many times when my decisions were probably not right.
Ajit’s recent film
On the work front, he was last seen in good bad ugly by Adhik Ravichandran. The film also featured Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinu Anand and Raghu Ram in the lead roles. It hit theaters on 10 April and earned a positive review from its fans and well -wishers.
