Aamir Khan gives his children the reason behind the naming of Junaid, Ira and Azad, despite his Hindu wives: ‘I had no to say in it’.

Sharma then asked why, despite this, Aamir’s children have been named Junaid Khan, Ira Khan and Azad Khan.Aamir Khan clarified that his children were elected by his wives, not him. He explained that his first wife, Reena, had selected the names Junaid and Ira – stating that Ira Devi was another name for Saraswati, which was obtained from “Iravati”, which she found in the book of Hindu names in Maneka Gandhi’s book.Aamir Khan also shared that his son Azad was named by his second wife Kiran Rao.
