Baloch rebels used weapons to hijack Pakistan’s Jaffer Express: Report

New Delhi: Blatch rebels kidnapped Pakistan’s Jaffer Express using American weapons last month, which the US Army left behind in 2021 during a hasty return from Afghanistan, was stated by Washington Post.
Weapons were left behind by the United States forces after a return of 2021 from Afghanistan. The weapons recovered from the scene were an M4A1 carbine rifle, built by COLT, an American weapon manufacturer, Eri News.
The rifle’s serial number allegedly confirmed that it was originally supplied to the US forces in Afghanistan and later lagged behind during the chaotic return.
The Blatch Liberation Army (BLA) set fire to a passenger train in South -West Pakistan on March 11, injuring the train driver. The train along with over 400 passengers was traveling from Quetta in Balochistan province to Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, when the attack took place.
The rescue teams and the security forces reached the spot, began an operation that lasted for more than 24 hours. Pakistan’s security officials said no passenger was hurt and “The number of passengers suffering from terrorists is 21.”
“On March 11 in Bolan, militants targeted a rail track around 1 pm and blown it and stopped the Jaffer Express. According to railway officials, there were 440 passengers in the train,” he said while speaking in an interview on Dunya News.
Chaudhary said that Army, Air Force, Frontier Corps (FC) and Special Services Group participated and recovered the hostages. He said that no passenger was hurt in the final withdrawal operation, but before that, “the number of passengers who suffer the barbarity of terrorists is 21.”
He said, “These terrorist satellites were in touch with their supporters and masterminds in Afghanistan during the operation via the phone. You saw that about 100 passengers were safely rescued from the terrorists last evening, and a large number of passengers have been recovered even today,” he said that the process continues intermittently.
For decades, separatist terrorist groups have revolted in Balochistan, which often targets government, army and Chinese interests demanding a greater share of mineral funds in the region. BLA has demanded independence, accusing the government of exploiting abundant gas and mineral resources of Balochistan.
