A forest fire closed the main highway connecting Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and sent 12 people to the hospital

Jerusalem – A forest fire closed the main highway connecting Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on Wednesday, which sent at least a dozen people to the hospital and turned the sky on Jerusalem Gray.
The video footage featured nearby trapped vehicles as flames in the entire area, while another video caught fire in a Catholic monastery.
Strong winds and hot, dry weather were being set on fire. The reason was being investigated. Israeli officials said that italy, Croatia and North Macedonia aircraft were getting help from the entire region.
The helicopters were releasing water to fight the flames from above, while other fire fighting teams were responding to the ATV.
Israeli National Security Minister Itmar Ben-Gwir said, “We expect 150 firefighting teams to reach.”
The fire broke out when Israel visited the Memorial Day for the soldiers and victims of attacks before Independence Day on Thursday. Many planned events were being canceled, including the official national ceremony in Jerusalem. The event was scheduled for Mount Hourzel near the fire zone. Instead, a recording of the dress rehearsal was being broadcast.
People taken for hospital treatment were mostly suffering from smoke inhalation, while the other 10 people were treated in the area, Magen David Adom Ambulance Services said. Police said the residents living close to the fire area were evacuated.
The officials of the monastery, the Latin patriarchal of Jerusalem, said it was too early to assess the damage, if any. He said that religious communities were safely evacuated.
“We pray for the safety of all,” his statement states.
As the flames moved towards the Tel Aviv-to-Yerusalem highway, many left their cars and ran away on foot or riding a ride with other vehicles in the opposite direction.
In 2010, a huge forest fire was burnt on Mount Carmel in Northern Israel for four days, claiming 44 lives and destroyed about 12,000 acres of land, most of which Woodland.
