Lin Lishram recalled his first meeting with Randeep Hooda in 2011, living together during Kovid: ‘I was not sure that it was the right person to get married’

The wedding of Randeep Hooda and Lin Lishram was vested in love and tradition, but their road was not always smooth. In an interview recently, Lynn shared how his bond started back in 2011 and deepened during the Kovid -19 lockdown, eventually a leading to a culturally rich Manipuri wedding in November 2023.

Talking to Houtherfly, Lin Lishram first met Randeep Hooda, a moment that set the stage for his permanent relationship. “We met in 2011,” he said. “I had just returned from New York, where I was still modeling. I wanted to go into acting, so I went to Naseeruddin Shah Sir’s production house, and I met him from here.”
Randeep Offered help without hesitation. Lynn revealed, “One day he helped me in casting directors and what I should do. This was our first conversation. I felt very real about him as a person.” “He immediately helped me what I can do for him.”
‘There was something about him’

While many relationships take time to bloom, Lynn confesses to feel a quick relationship. He said, “A very strange thing I felt when I saw him for the first time … I felt that I felt very comfortable around her, I felt very comfortable about her,” she said.
Although they were still finding out what the relationship meant, he shared, “We were also confused about it, so we were trying to find out the relationship.”
Staying together during Kovid brought them closer

It turned during the epidemic. “During the Kovid time, we actually started living together,” Lynn said. “I was not used to living with anyone, that too was not used to live in that way, so there was much adjustment.”
Nevertheless, in the midst of isolation and anarchy, the couple found happiness and stability. “But both of us felt so easy during Kovid -19 -we were saying, ‘R, Yeh Toh Aa Acha Hai’,” He remembered with a smile. “We found our house and peace in each other during that time.”
Family pressure and social expectations faced challenges
Lynn shared her early doubts about marriage, but not because of Randeep, but because of cultural pressures and expectations. “I wanted to get married, but I was not sure it was the right person because when you marry late, a lot is going on in your head,” he explained.
He said, “My parents will say ‘Get married to a Manipuri boy’, or Randeep’s parents will say,” You should only marry in a Jat family. “
How Randeep supported Lynn in his personal journey
Despite all doubts, Lynn eventually found a safe place with clarity and Randeep. “Finally I got my place, which Randeep really helped – I was feeling comfortable in whatever I was,” he said.

He also reflected on the lack of initial support from his family. “I never supported what I had chosen by my parents or my family in life. When I was acting and modeling, he did not support me. They only understood when I became popular and started making some money.”
