Pahalgam Attack: Pakistan reduces more than 1000 points soon after opening stock exchange, then the website goes down: ‘Read’ till next notice … ‘message

Pahgam Attack: Pakistan Stock Exchange Website Down

The official website of the Pakistan Stock Exchange allegedly went offline soon after India’s recent Pahgam terror attacks. The visitors of the site were congratulated with a message, “We will return soon. The PSX website is subject to maintenance until next notice.” On Wednesday, April 23, the exchange closed down by 1,300 points, declining 1.10% to organize at 1.17 lakh points.

Pahalgam Attack: Measures taken by the Government of India

After the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, the Government of India has implemented a series of decisive measures to strengthen security and justify criminals. This includes:

  • Suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty: India has held the 1960 Treaty, until it effectively addresses terrorism, indicates a strong diplomatic attitude against Pakistan.
  • The concluding of the Attari-Vagah border: With the deadline of May 1, 2025, the cross-limit movement has been stopped, to return with legitimate documents for individuals in India.
  • Visa Ban: SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme for Pakistani citizens has been suspended, and the first issued visa has been canceled. Under this scheme, Pakistani citizens have been given 48 hours to leave India.
  • Decreased diplomatic engagement: Pakistani military, Navy and aerial advisors have been declared personality non -Greta with a week for a week. India is also taking back its advisors from Islamabad, reducing high commissions in both countries by 55 to 30 personnel.
  • Increased Safety measures: On the Cabinet Committee (CCS) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Cabinet Committee has directed the agencies to be cautious and take necessary precautions to prevent further events.
