New Delhi: Anaya bangarThe daughter of former India cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar has talked about toxic manhood which continues to plague the world of cricket. In a clear interview, Anaya revealed the experiences harassing the experiences faced within the cricketing circle, including receiving nude photos from cricketers, oral misuse, and proposed by a former player.
Anaya, who came out publicly last year and shared his journey of change through hormone replacement therapy and Gender-confusion surgeryEast was known as Aryan. Reflecting her journey, Anaya said during an interview with Lallantop, “Support has been done as well as some harassment.”
Asked how fellow cricketers responded after their gender-confusion surgery, Anaya said: “There are some cricketers who sent me nude photos of me randomly.”

He also shared more disturbing experiences:
“That person used to abuse everyone in front of everyone. The same person then came to me and asked my pictures. There was another example, when I was in India, I told a Purana (experienced) cricketer about my situation. He said that let me go in the car, I want to sleep with you.”
After being played with prominent Indian cricketers like Mushir Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, and Yashsvi Jiswal during his early years, Anaya said he was forced to hide his identity due to his father’s public profile.
He said, “I had to maintain privacy about myself because Dad is a famous person. The world of cricket is full of insecurity and toxic masculinity.”
Anaya has represented Islam Gymkhana at the club circuit in Mumbai and also played for the Hinkle Cricket Club in Lessesterreshire, UK.
However, her cricketing ambitions were a major setback in November 2023, when the International Cricket Council (ICC) introduced transgender women from participating in international women’s cricket.
ICC CEO Geoff Alardis said, “Including as a sport is incredibly important for us, but our priority was to protect the integrity of international women’s sports and the safety of players.”
Anaya responded to the policy with a detailed post on Instagram, expressing her disappointment with the decision.
She currently lives in the United Kingdom.
