Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh starrer ‘Jait’ was released in theaters last week and the film is doing well in theaters. The film has crossed Rs 61 crore in a period of 8 days and is highly appreciated by fans. However, it is now in trouble because it has hurt the religious sentiments of Christians. The complaint has been lodged with the Jalandhar police and claimed that a scene in the film has angered the Christian community under Section 299 of the Indian Justice (BNS).

The film has a special scene where Randeep stands inside a church, under a cross placed over the holy pulp, while members of the congregation are seen praying. The complainant says that the scene depicts hooliganism and threats inside the church. NDTV quoted the complainant, saying, “The director, writer and producer intentionally released the film during the holy month of Good Friday and Easter to get angry and riots and disturbing all over the country.”
Earlier this week, the representatives of the community have also submitted a memorandum to the Joint Commissioner, seeking a ban on the film screening in theaters. Thus, the Christian community is also demanding a ban on the film.
