France is a ‘positive process’ as Europe, America discusses Ukraine ceasefire

Paris: France said that on Thursday, a conversation between the top US and European authorities on the war in Ukraine started a “positive process”, as Europe wants to join the efforts to end the three -year struggle.
US State Secretary Marco Rubio again suppressed the US peace plan during a discussion in Paris.
The meetings included French President Emmanuel Macron, Rubio, US Envoy Steve Witcoff, British Foreign Secretary David Lami, German officials and Ukrainian ministers.
Russian President Vladimir Putin pushed as a push of US President Donald Trump to end the stum of war with a completely revolt of the trus.
“Today in Paris, we started a positive process that includes Europeans,” the French President said.
A new meeting of messengers from the United States, France, Britain, Germany and Ukraine will be held in London next week.
Rubio later called Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss the Paris meeting.
Rubio told his Russian counterpart, “President Trump and the United States want this war to end, and now all parties have been presented a durable and permanent peace.”
“The encouraging reception in Paris for the US Framework shows that peace is possible if all sides are committed to reach an agreement,” he said.
In a statement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry stated that Lavarov said “confirmed Moscow’s readiness to continue collaborative efforts with American counterparts to widely address the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis”.
The statement stated that Lavarov and Rubio agreed to maintain “quick communication channels” in the light of the London meeting next week.
Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski, who clashed with Trump, praised the talks, saying that it was important to work towards “real security” in Europe.
Posting on Telegram, Zelancesi’s Chief of Staff Andrey Yarmak on Friday thanked Macron “for your efforts in the process of achieving a fair and permanent peace for Ukraine”.
Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov, however, dismissed the Paris meeting, stating that Europeans seemed to be “focused on continuing war”.
France and Britain open talks with Russia, after Trump blows them, sought a coordinated European response to defend Ukraine during the conflict and in any ceasefire.
Macron stated that the Paris talks were “a very important opportunity for convergence,” as everyone wanted “a strong and sustainable peace”.
French External Affairs Minister Jean-Noel Barot told reporters that the talks had created a success as the United States, Ukraine, and the European minister “gathered around the same table” when Europe first feared that it would be excluded from decisions.
The United States can “a justified and permanent peace … only with the consent and contribution of Europeans,” they later added to LCI television.
Russia’s attacks, which have recently killed dozens of people, including children in Ukrainian cities, have increased pressure for new diplomatic efforts to end the struggle.
Local and regional officials said on Friday that Russian attacks killed two people on Thursday and injured dozens of others in Kharkiv and Sumi cities.
Zelancesi had earlier accused Vicchoff of “spreading Russian stories”, when the American messenger reserved the position of Ukraine -occupied areas with Russia.
“I believe that Mr. Witcoff has taken the Russian side strategy,” Zelancesi told reporters.
“This is very dangerous, because it is consciously or unknowingly, I don’t know, spreading Russian narratives.”
Witcoff said this week that Putin was open to “permanent peace” after a conversation with the Kremlin chief in St. Petersburg, since Trump returned to the White House in January.
Putin rejected an American proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire last month when Kiev supported the idea.
He also suggested that Zelancesi be removed from the office, arising an angry response to Trump, who said he was “very angry” with the Russian leader.
A Pentagon spokesperson said French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu on Thursday interacted with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegsith in Washington, who called France to promote military expenses.
The spokesperson said, “The secretary urged France to increase defense spending and take primary responsibility for the traditional defense of Europe, along with other NATO colleagues.”
