He said that the Constitution gives the judiciary the power to interpret the law under Article 145 (3), but it does not authorize the courts to issue instructions to the President.

His comments come in response to the April 8 verdict by the Supreme Court, which for the first time implemented a three -month time limit for the President to work on bills reserved by the state governors. The ruling followed a constitutional deadlock in Tamil Nadu, where Governor RN Ravi assured several bills for extended periods, motivated the state to seek judicial intervention.
Speaking on the alleged discovery of cash at Delhi’s High Court Judge Yashwant Verma House, Dhankhar said that the President and Governor enjoy constitutional immunity from the prosecution, a privilege has not been extended to other public data, including judges.
