Taiwan News: Taiwan again detects the major Chinese military appearance around its territory

Taiwan’s National Defense Ministry (MND) reported a major spike Chinese military activity On Thursday, around its air and marine areas, a continuous pattern of pressure from Beijing marks.
According to MND, 34 aircraft People’s Liberation Army (PLA), six naval ships and two official ships from the People’s Liberation Army Navy (Plan) were found around the island till 6 am (local time).
In a post on X, MND confirmed, “34 PLA aircraft, 6 scheme ships and 2 official ships working around Taiwan were detected till 6 am (UTC +8).
It came a day after Taiwan’s 17 PLA aircraft, eight plan ships and an official ship near its area. At that time, 11 out of 17 aircraft also violated the Madhyika line and entered the island’s air defense identity area (ADIZ).
These infiltrations are part of a regular regular pattern of military pressure, as China continues to emphasize its claims on Taiwan. The island has been self-especially since 1949, but Beijing sees it as a breakway province and has not denied the use of force for reunioning under its “a China” policy.
In response to these dangers, Taiwan’s army remains on high alert. Earlier this month, the island began its largest annual defense exercise, Han Kuang War Games.
According to the Taipei Times, the extended 14-day exercise aims to prepare for a potentially full-scale invasion and simulate the “gray zone” strategy, including the use of drones, sea militia, and sand drains.
Major General Tung Chi-Hassing, director of MND’s Joint Operations Scheme Division, said that this year’s practices include computer-simulated war landscapes, after a live-fire drill between July 9 to 18, designed to strengthen the country’s defensive readiness against PLA exercises.
Meanwhile, Taiwan is also dealing with economic threats. According to the Taipei Times, Taiwan’s Economic Affairs Minister JW Kuo has warned of “original laundering” by Chinese firms, trying to get out of the American tariff using the Made in Taiwan “label in Taiwan.
Taiwan has initiated several initiatives to prevent this, including import tracking, stifer penalty and industry-wide awareness.
