Yogi also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for passing the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament in the robbery of the property of the poor. “
“We are grateful to PM Modi and HM Amit Shah, who passed the Waqf Amendment Bill and rushed to the robbery of the poor. Now, homes, high -growing buildings, schools and universities for the poor will be constructed on the land which will return; the land bank will be constructed for investment,” Yogi said.
“But no one will be allowed to encroach on the land and indulge in hooliganism. That is why the robbery in the name of the land is about to stop. Therefore, they are worried that now their henchmen will become independent, they will turn into ‘Bhasmasur’ and start robbing them (protests).
It comes after communal violence in Murshidabad on the recently implemented Waqf Act. A total of 210 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence.

According to the government, the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, is aimed at streamlining the management of Waqf properties, empowering stakeholders and increasing the proficiency of property survey, registration and legal proceedings.
It aims to modify the Waqf Act, 1995, so that the Waqf properties have to be faced in the regulation and inspection. Amendments focus on enhancing administration and ensuring more effective management of WAQF assets across India.
