Trump convicted Zelansky for ‘millions of’ deaths in Russia’s invasion, war can be avoided

US President Donald Trump on Monday extended his criticism of Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky, accusing him of sharing the responsibility of “millions of” deaths of deaths in the ongoing invasion of Russia’s Ukraine. In reporters’ comments, Trump put Zelansky with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the then President Joe Biden, stating that all three bore have been guilty of bloodshed since the war started.
“Millions of people were killed due to three people,” Trump said during a meeting with the President of Al Salvador. “Chalo Putin says number one, but let’s say Biden, who did not know what he was doing, number two, and Zelancesi.”
The Republican President further criticized Zelanceci’s military strategy and continued an appeal for Western weapons. “He always wants to buy missiles,” Trump said, dismissing Ukraine’s defense efforts. “When you start a war, you find out that you can win the war. You do not start a war against someone who is 20 times your size, and then hopes people give you some missiles.”
The tension between Trump and Zelanski has erupted in recent weeks, especially after a television oval office struggle on 28 February. Next to that meeting, Trump repeatedly echoed the Kremlin Talking Points, called Zelanceci “dictator without elections” and blamed Kive for inciting the struggle.
Despite the efforts to rebuild Zelansky’s relationship – Trump has intensified his rhetoric, including sending a delegation to Washington last week to discuss a proposed mineral deal. However, the US President claimed that a peace deal was still possible.
“I want to stop the murder, and I think we are doing good in that regard. I think you will have some very good proposals very soon,” he said.
His comments came in view of a deadly dandy Missile strike on SumiEastern Ukraine, on Sunday in which at least 35 people died – one of the deadliest attacks of war. While Trump called the strike a “mistake”, he did not give further details. Russia has maintained its missiles, targeted a meeting Ukrainian Army Commander,
In a CBS interview aired on Sunday, Zelansky urged Trump to visit Ukraine and first see the destruction caused by the invasion.
