Amitabh Bachchan had other views while dubbing for Aamir Khan’s ‘Delhi Bailey’ due to ‘humiliating language’: ‘His voice has so much feeling’

Aamir Khan recently took down the memory lane after seeing his 2011 production polarization teaser Delhi BaileyA film is known for its bold content and offbeat humor. In a new video shared by Aamir Khan TalkiesThe actor opened about how the film’s first promo got confusing and rejection from the audience, and even how famous actor Amitabh Bachchan had doubts about the teaser he agreed to dub.
Delhi Bailey, which is the specialty of Aamir’s nephew Imran Khan with Veer Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor, attracted attention to his unexpected derogatory dialogues and dark comedic tones at that time. The film, co-directed by Abhinay Dev and written by Akshat Verma, followed the chaotic life of three roommates, who unknowingly get entangled in a gangster hunting for missing diamonds.

Speaking about the early teaser to land well with the audience, Aamir admitted, “Many times we have gone wrong. We thought it was a wonderful teaser, that people would laugh a lot – we were making fun of ourselves and sharing it in a comic way.”
He then revealed that Amitabh Bachchan, who had given his voice to the teaser, was not completely convinced at first. “I requested Amit ji to dub the dialogues. He read him and said,” Hmm, Acha, “with a strange expression on his face. He also looked at the trailer and asked me,” Aamir, are you sure that it’s fine? ” I said, ‘Yes sir, no worry.’ Anphone dubbed dubbing (they dubbed the teaser well).

He also expressed concern about maintaining confidence with his audience. “I was worried because I never want to disappoint my audience. They should not realize that Aamir has invited us, and now we are not liking what we are showing us. I am very conscious about it. Therefore, we released this teaser to know that people can know that the film has derogatory language. Furthermore, it was also a humorous element,” he said.
