‘Squated on track’: more than 5,000 people obstruct the train movement due to ‘non-railway’ in West Bengal

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a train movement between Dhulianganga and Nimatita stations in West Bengal was disrupted by more than 5,000 people who squat on the railway track affecting the train movement on Friday.
An official press release said, “It has been reported that around 5000 people have gathered and gathered between Dhulianganga and Nimati stations affecting the movement of the train.
The incident occurred at 2.46 pm when the services of DN Kamakhya – Puri Express were affected for “non -reelway causes”.
“Train services in Azimganj – New Farka Section of Eastern Railway has been affected today (11.4.2025), as a group of people started obstructing the movement of 15644 DN Kamakhya on the railway track – due to non -Koilway, due to non -Koilway, 14:46 pm, Puri Express near Dhulianganga station from 14:46 hours.
“RPF, GRP and local police are on the site for interaction with agitators who have obstructed train movements on non-reelway.
