‘Sikander’ Box Office Collection Day 12: Salman Khan starrer saw a dip of earning under Rs 1 crore; Strict face competition from Sunny Deol’s ‘Jat’.

Salman Khan’s latest action entertainer Alexander has completed his second week at the box office, however, it was done on an all-time low. Released on March 30, the film watched a box office collection of less than Rs 1 crore for the first time on SSACNILK.com.
The film allegedly experienced a noticeable decline in speed as it was in the 12th day. According to Sacnilk’s initial estimates, Alexander earned around Rs 75 lakh on Thursday, marking one of the lowest single-day collections ever. This sharp dip in earnings came after the film came after collecting an impressive of Rs 90.25 crore in its first week, an estimated Rs 17.6 crore was added to Tally in the second week.
The film allegedly earned an estimated total net collection of Rs 107.85 crore.
While Alexander had a strong inauguration and benefit from Eid celebration and Salman Khan’s mass fan base, the discussion has slowed down in its third weekend. Competition from a new release like The Sunny Dool starrer ‘Jait’ has also allegedly eaten in the film’s box office business. The action film started in theaters on Thursday earned an estimated Rs 10 crore at the box office in 1 day.
Directed by AR Murugados and supported by Sajid Nadidwala, Alexander was deployed as a mass-Market Action Entertainer, packed with high-octane sequences. The music and action choreography of the film was widely appreciated, but critics gave script and emotional depth mixed reviews. This mixed word-mouth may have contributed to the decline in the week.
With Rs 107.85 crore in the bag, the film still stands as one of the better actors of the year. However, its ability to maintain speed in the third week will now depend a lot on the number of weekends and whether the film can lure in the public or if recently will have to get out of the box office race as one of Salman’s lowest demonstration films.
