26/11: India News rejects Rana Petition to stay on US SC extradition

New Delhi: US Supreme Court Mumbai has refused accused of terrorist attack Tavavur RanaDemanding his application Extradition To India. A Canadian National of Pakistani origin, 64 -year -old Rana, is currently recorded at the Metropolitan Detention Center at Los Angeles. He submitted an emergency application for the pending litigation of the petition for the Rit of Habis Corpus on 27 February, with the Supreme Court Associate Justice and the Circuit Justice Elna Kagan for the ninth circuit.
Last month, Kagan refused the application. Rana then renewed his emergency application to Justice Kagan and requested that a fresh application be directed to Chief Justice Roberts.
An order on the Supreme Court website stated that Rana’s renewed application has been distributed for the “4/4/2025 conference” and “application” has been “referred to” court. On Monday, a notice on the Supreme Court website said, “The application was denied by the court.” Rana was sentenced to 14 years in jail in 2011, who was killed to conspiracy to provide material assistance to a terrorist conspiracy to leave a Danish newspaper employees and to provide physical assistance to the terrorist group responsible for the November 2008 attacks in Mumbai, killing more than 160 people.
