New Delhi: On the occasion of Ram navamiPrime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Tamil Nadu on 6 April, where he is scheduled for the first inauguration of India. Inauguration of New Pamban Rail Bridge in Rameswaram

Around 12 noon, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Pambon Rail Bridge, which is a landmark engineering project that adds Rameswaram For mainland. India’s first vertical sea-dile, which is built at a cost of over Rs 700 crore, is 2.08 km long and has a 99 span and 72.5 m vertical lift span that increases to a height of 17 meters to allow below the ship. Designed to support dual rail tracks, the bridge includes improved materials such as stainless steel reinforcement, fully welded joints and special protective coatings for extended durability in marine environment.
PM Modi will also flagged a new train service between Rameswaram and Taramaram (Chennai) and witness the live operation of the lift mechanism of the bridge with a symbolic launch of a ship from the nearby Road Bridge.

Around 12.45 pm, Prime Minister Ramanathswamy schedule to visit the temple, where he will perform darshan and worship.

Rail, road projects and public addresses worth Rs 8,300 crore

Later in the day, at around 1.30 pm, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate it to the nation, which are more than Rs 8,300 crore. During the incident, the Prime Minister is also ready to address a public meeting.
Meanwhile infra projects include major rail and highway development in Tamil Nadu:

  • Four-leaning of 28 km WalzapeT-Republic section of NH-40 (Foundation Stone)
  • 29 km Wilupuram -Puducherry Section of NH -332 (Dedication)
  • 57 km Pondiyankapam -Satanatnathpuram NH -32 (Surrender) section
  • Thanjavur section of 48 km Cholpuram -NH -36 (dedication)

These upgrades are said to have improved connectivity in Pilgrim centers, tourist hubs, ports, medical institutions and agricultural markets, promote regional growth and benefit farmers, small businesses and local industries, especially according to the government’s statement, leather and handicrafts.
