Former US President Barack Obama asked universities to protect his educational freedom, taking a firm stand against political threats, the Trump administration continues to increase financial pressure on higher education institutions.
Speaking at Hamilton College on Thursday, Obama warned that universities should oppose federal attacks that threatens their basic values and freedom. He urged the premises to reflect their own handling on a free speech.
“If you are a university, you may have to find out, are we really right?” He told the students during a campus discussion.

His remarks amidst large -scale action on the elite universities of the Trump administration, killing millions of people in federal money, accusing them of antisemiatiism and prejudice.
The University of Columbia lost $ 400 million in grants and contracts in March, while Pennsylvania University suspended $ 175 million. This week, the administration announced a few $ 9 billion reviews in arrangements associated with Harvard and his colleagues.
