As Delhi capitals Prepare to face Chennai Super Kings IPL 2025 Shodown, DC Captain Axar Patel shared a humorous and hearty anecdot about his bond with former India and CSK captain MS Dhoni – one that describes how Dhoni once played an astrologer in his career.
In a video interview posted by Delhi Capital on Friday, Exer recalled a moment from the earlier IPL season, sitting together with an old picture of him and Dhoni.

“In this picture, he is telling me that my planets are moving around here and there. You either get a good ball or something else,” Exer said with laughter. “Woh yahi bol rast di ki tu ku ku kuch dawhi karwale (he was suggesting that I got some rituals to correct it).”
Beyond the banquet, Exer credited Dhoni for playing an important role in shaping his career.
“I have a very close relationship with Mahi Bhai. During my captaincy in Team India, I shared my views with him. Even during the 2021 World Cup, when he came as a patron, I talked to him about my mindset. Whatever I have achieved since then, credit Mahi Bhai also goes to the changes that can be seen.”
Exer has won two winning DC in his opening matches this season, which finishes second at the table’s table. On the other hand, CSK has made a slow start with just one win in three matches.
