Should RCB change its strategy during powerplay?
Facing media questions after the match, Sudarson credited his development as a T20 player for his experience in “difficult situations”.
Sudarshan said in the post -match press conference, “This is my fourth year (in IPL), so I think it has given me a lot of experience. I have been aware of some difficult situations. I came in contact with a lot of fast bowling in the nets with GT.”
He said, “I think my development has been helped or the way I have improved my T20 batting, it’s a game-time that I get here and practice with Titans, with bowlers, with all quality international bowlers,” he said.
“So, I think the trap has also helped me, I would say. I came in contact with a lot of things, a lot of difficult circumstances. I have learned a lot in these three years. I think it has helped me understand the game better and also the basic is the original is the original.”
In this IPL season, Suderson has climbed second in the list of top run-scores so far, who is submitting 186 runs. Southpow has maintained an impressive average of 62, scoring at a fast strike of 158.
Talking about the first defeat of the season’s RCB in their third match, the team’s head coach Andy Flower rusted to lose wickets in Heips during the powerplay, which never allowed him to recover.
The hosts were reduced to 42 to 4 in 6.2 overs.
“We played very aggressively in the powerplay and lost some wickets … so it was clearly a big swing in the game – if you lose the powerplay, you are in trouble,” he said.
Siraj was the debris-in-chief and met the wickets after an average show in the first two matches as he scored 3 runs for 19 in his four overs.
“This was certainly not a specific Chinnaswamy wicket, where you expect the ball to be slightly faster. In the first innings, the ball ripped the seam with a dryer ball. So I think it was quite important in the context of the game,” Flower said.
Zimbabwe said, “It is also important to accept that the result is not the cause. Siraj bowled very well, he did not do? He played an excellent magic with the new ball. His lines were really tight, the length was good and he threatened the stumps a lot.”
The RCB coach also praised Sudarshan’s attempt with the bat.
“Sudhasan played beautifully, I thought. You know, the choice of shots, he played the spin well, he chose areas that he wanted to kill, I thought, really well. So, you know, you were a good start for the competition,” Flower said.
