IPL 2025: Cricket News returns to South Africa due to personal reasons Kagiso Rabada

New Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) Pacer Kagiso Rabada has left the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season and has returned home to South Africa for personal reasons, the franchise announced on Thursday. The team did not specify the period of their absence.
GT said in an official statement, “Cagiso Rabada has returned to South Africa to deal with an important individual case.”

The 29 -year -old had played two matches for GT this season, recorded 1/41 figures against Punjab Kings and 1/42 figures against Mumbai Indians. He was absent from GT’s recent eight wicket win Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) In M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Arshad Khan replaced him and quickly rejected Virat Kohli and made immediate effect.
GT had secured Rabada’s services in last year’s mega auction for Rs 10.75 crore. In 82 IPL matches, Rabada has claimed an average of 119 wickets at an average of 22.29 and 8.53.
GT still has motion options in Mohammad Siraj, Prasad Krishna and Garald Koetzi. They will face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, which will expect to expand the streak of their victory.
