New Delhi: The Punjab court on Tuesday sentenced Bajinder Singh, a self-proclaimed Christian pastor in the 2018 rape case.
Singh, often referred to as ‘Jesus Jesus Prophet’, was convicted for sexual harassment of a woman from Zirakpur.
Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Vikrant Kumar’s court pronounced the verdict, found him guilty on March 28 under IPC section 376 (RAPE), 323 (due to injury to), and 506 (criminal intimacy).
The case is back in 2017, when a woman from Punjab, the complainant alleged that Singh started sending his unwanted messages after attending his church.

She remained silent with fear, but later filed a complaint, which attempted to flee to London at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi in July 2018.
Singh has previously faced several legal troubles, including another sexual harassment case filed by a 22 -year -old woman in February this year. She accused her of improperly touching a church cabin and threatening her family, if she talks outside.
Surface of new allegations
A day after her guilty, two more women came forward accusing Singh of misbehavior and sexual abuse in their camp. He met Akal Takht Jatdar Jiyani Kuldeep Singh Gargajz, who urged the Punjab government to ensure their safety and take strict action.
The women alleged that despite the FIR being lodged, the police had delayed the action, which made them unsafe for threats and threats. One of the women, who claims to be a person seen in a viral video, where the lion is allegedly attacking someone, said that she had participated in her church for more than a decade and was actively involved in service in her dera for six-seven years.

Talking to the media, he said that after meeting Jathdar, he had renewed in seeking justice. He also revealed that while some people helped him, others ignored his arguments.
Following the latest allegations, the Akal Takht Secretariat issued a statement that condemned the delay in action against Singh. Jathdra praised the victims for his courage and assured him of full support, urging him to rely on Guru Sahib.
