Bangladesh demolished the 1971 war mural

Dhaka: After covering the mural of Liberation War Memorial Forum Lalmanirhat District In Bangladesh with clothes on the country’s Independence Day, it was demolished on the instructions of local authorities.
Speaking to the local media, the workers said that they were demolishing the murals under the instructions of the Lalmanirhat Deputy Commissioner. The murals gave the background of the 1950s language movement, historic March 7 speech, the war of freedom, the formation of the Mujibnagar government, the morning of the new sun in the independent land, the massacre of 1971, the brave freedom fighters excluded the victory, seven great heroes, and the dedication to many other historical moments. Transparency International Bangladesh said it would oppose the Act.
Local media quoted the district officials, saying that they had covered the murals in response to the demand raised by the students of the student organization against discrimination, stating that it is “not align” with the spirit of the July revolution. Agencies
