Trent Bowlt expands the record for the most wickets in the IPL first over. Cricket news

Passer Trent Bault of Mumbai Indians on Monday further strengthened his reputation as the deadliest bowler in the first over of the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.
Bault claims his 30th wicket at the inauguration of the IPL game, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opener Sunil Narin dismissed MI during his first home match. IPL 2025 Season at Wankhed Stadium in Mumbai.

Bault now leads the chart for most wickets in the first over, which increases its profit on India’s pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has 27 wickets in the first over of IPL matches. Bault has achieved this milestone in just 96 matches, while Bhubaneswar did 126 matches for his tally.
Bault bowled Narin with the fourth delivery of the match, dismissing him for a two -ball duck. His ability to strike early has made him an important weapon for any team in the tournament.

1. Trent Bowlt – 30 wickets (96 matches)
2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 27 wickets (126 matches)
3. Praveen Kumar – 15 wickets (89 matches)
4. Sandeep Sharma – 13 wickets (78 matches)
5. Deepak four – 13 wickets (77 matches)
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first against KKR. MI made significant changes, brought to Will Jack and handed her debut to left -handed pacer Ashwani Kumar. KKR made a change, in which Sunil Narin replaced Moen Ali.
