Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy snatched the Legion of Honor Medal on Graft

Paris: Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was stripped of his Legion of Honor medal after being convicted last year of corruption and was declared on Sunday when he was the state head of the country. This decision was made through a decree issued in the journal official which publishes the major legal information of the government. It comes in line with the rules of the Legion of Honor. Orthodox politicians, who were Presidents from 2007 to 2012, have been at the center of a series of legal matters since leaving the post. He was found guilty of influencing corruption and impact by a Paris court in 2021 and in 2023 an appeal court tried to bribe the magistrate in exchange for information about a legal case, in which he was implicated. He was sentenced to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for a year, a Supreme Court of France, a verdict in the Court of December on December. Earlier this year, Sarkozy prosecuted millions of dollars from Libya for his successful Presidential campaign in 2007. He denies claims. Prosecutors requested a 7 -year jail sentence. The decision is expected in September.After Sarkozy Nazi colleague Philip Paten, France’s highest difference – Legend of Honor – became the head of the second former state of France’s highest margin, who was convicted for treason in 1945. Hollywood producer Harvey Venstein was snatched away from his Legion of Honor Award in 2017 in view of allegations of misconduct against him. The insult cyclist Lance Armstrong also canceled his award.
