British fighter jet makes emergency landing in Kerala: low fuel allegedly forced diversion- report | Bharat News

New Delhi: A British F -35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala on Saturday night after running down on fuel, said PTI sources. Sources said on Sunday that the jet, which used to fly from an aircraft carrier, safely landed at around 9.30 pm. According to one source, airport officials declared an emergency to ensure a smooth and safe landing. The source said, “Pilot reported low fuel and sought permission for land. Everything was handled quickly and professional.” The aircraft is currently parked at the airport. Sources said that fuel will start filling after receiving approval from the officials concerned in the central government.
