Jaipur: Rajasthan boy Mahesh Kumar, who scored the top rank in NEET -UG 2025 with 99.9 percent score, has scripted a success story that challenges traditional assumptions – that English medium students have a natural benefit in competitive examinations.From the small town of Nohar in Hanumangarh district, Mahesh also did not want to take science in class 11, thinking about pursuing drug alone, as he did not believe that he could crack in tough entrance examinations like JEE or NEET as a Hindi medium student. It was a destiny, and her determination and hard work, that he finally managed to overcome self-doubt, and in her first attempt cracked the medical entrance exam with the All-India top rank.His Hindi medium background – some Mahesh initially would have a disadvantage – inspired him to work extra hard, eventually to help him with Air -1 in a bag. Mahesh said in his coaching classes, while solving the practice test letters, he learned how to balance between Hindi and English questions, helping in quick solution.“A few months before the exam, the pressure increases. Given the last year’s NEET-UG confusion, I was stressed. When we got the question paper, it was a different format. So, keeping it calm and solving it under pressure was a challenge. After the exam, after the exam, I knew that I would not get a score of 700.His family shows that the medical stream was not his original choice. “After class 10, when it was time to choose the stream, he was tilted to humanities and wanted to crack the IAS or Raas. He was afraid that after studying in the whole Hindi medium, he could not do well in JEE or Neet. Today, Mahesh has done something that we have never imagined,” his proud mother, hemalata horticulture, said a stagnant buggy.This was Mahesh’s sister Himanshi who encouraged her to take medicine. This inspiration, combined with unwavering family support, proved to be important for their success.
