Ahmedabad aircraft accident: Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet enhanced security inspection, order DGCA; What will be checked here

Boeing 787 Dreamliner Fleet to undergo additional tests: After the tragic accident of the London-Bound Air India flight in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon, Air India’s entire Boeing 787-8/9 Dreamliner will have to undergo increased security inspection.According to the latest directions of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), all Boeing Dreamliner will be equipped with an additional maintenance and safety checks with immediate effect in coordination with the concerned regional DGCA offices, equipped with fleet GenX engine of 787/9 Air India.DGCA instructs circular Air India to do the following:1. India WeF 15.06.2025, (00:00) Check a time before flying from HRS.A) Inspection of fuel parameter monitoring and checking the related system.B) Inspection of cabin air compressors and related systems.C) Electronic Engine Control- System Test.D) Engine fuel-powered actuator-operative tests and oil system check.E) Services check of hydraulic systemF) Review of take-off parameters.2.3. The power assurance check should be done within two weeks within two weeks.4. During the last 15 days, 8787-8/9 aircraft closed maintenance operations based on a review of the snag to be repeated during the last 15 days.The report of the above check is to be submitted to DGCAAir India 787-8 Dreamliner, Ai 171 operated from Ahmedabad to London crashed immediately after takeoff.
