The police have not questioned him yet.”Meghalaya DGP Idshisha Nongrang confirmed the arrest of three men in an overnight raid – one from Uttar Pradesh and two from Indore. The three have been hired by Sonam to kill their husband Raja.An accused, 21 -year -old Akash Rajput was arrested from Mehrani area of ​​Lalitpur district. Police said that he was known for the co-conclusion of Vishal Singh and Raj Kushwaha and traveled to Shillong with him. Raj Kushwaha, it is believed that Sonam’s lover, and Vishal Singh Chauhan alias Vicky was first arrested by the Indore police.The three allegedly worked in a private firm registered in the name of Sonam’s brother, Gaurav Raghuvanshi, in which Raj served as an accountant.Police sources said Sonam did not reveal her hideout during the time when she was missing and claimed to be “unwell” only. Akash, who holds a BBA degree from Indore, is currently being questioned about his role and objectives.Meanwhile, Sonam’s father, Devi Singh defended her, insisted that she is innocent and was incorrectly trapped. “My daughter is innocent. We demand a CBI probe to highlight the truth,” he said.The case came to light after the couple, recently married, went missing on 23 May during a honeymoon in Cherrapunji, Meghalaya on 23 May. He was last seen examining out of a homestay in Nongrite. His rented scooter was later released near Sohrim.Ten days later, the king’s body was found in a deep gorge near Weisavadong Falls in Eastern Khasi Hills. The weapon of the murder is believed to have been recovered nearby.Sonam had been unthinkable till Monday. Connecting to the conspiracy, a local tourist guide claimed that the couple was seen with three men on May 23, while they were trekking from Nongrite. He said that he had given his services to the first couple, but he hired another guide. Police say the investigation is still going on, and there is a possibility of further arrest.
