Israel-Gaja conflict: Thai hostage Notapong Pinta’s body recovered; 95 Palestinians killed in latest attacks

Israel said on Saturday that it had recovered the body of a Thai hostage taken in Gaza during an Hamas -led attack on October 7, 2023.The announcement came as intensified, Gaza Health officials reported at least 95 and Palestinians killed at least 95 more Palestinians in the last 24 hours.The Thai hostage was identified as Nattapong Pinta, who traveled to Israel to work in agriculture and was abducted by Kibutz Neer Oz during the October attack, which gave rise to the ongoing war.Israel said his body was recovered in the Rafah area of Southern Gaza. Officials believe that he was killed early in war.Pinta’s remains were allegedly recovered in an operation against the Mujahideen Brigade, a small armed group that took responsibility for many hostages. The Israeli army also said that it killed Group leader, Abi Sharia, in a separate strike in Gaza city.According to Thailand’s Foreign Ministry, two more Thai citizens are still unaware. The Hamas attack in Thailand was one of the largest number of foreign nationals kidnapped, with several Thai workers employed on fields near the Southern border of Israel. The ministry said that at least 46 Thai citizens have died during the conflict.Israeli Defense Minister Yov Gallant confirmed the recovery. Fifty -five hostages are believed to live in Gaza. Israel says that more than half of them are no longer alive.The families of hostages gathered again in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening, urged the Israeli government to reach the ceasefire agreement and secure the release of those people.Meanwhile, the Israeli aerial attack continued across Gaza, which had reports of the killing of the entire families. According to doctors from Shifa and Al-Ahli hospitals, a strike in Gaza City killed six members of a family, including two children. Another strike in North Gaza allegedly killed seven people, including a mother and five children.According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, more than 54,000 Palestinians have died in the war. Israel says its action is in response to the October 7 attacks, with about 1,200 people killed, most of the citizens, and 251 hostages were abducted. So far only eight have been rescued alive.
