‘Victimous Skull Fracture’: Bangalore Bijman attacked by Zepto delivery boy; Company response | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: A 30 -year -old businessman in Bengaluru has alleged that he was physically attacked by a grocery delivery agent outside his house in Basaveshwarnagar’s Judge Colony.

The incident occurred on 21 May during a dispute on an order placed through the Zapto app. The complainant, Shashank S, said that the delivery boy, who is identified as Vishnuvardhan, reached his home at around 1.50 am to give groceries.

There was alleged disagreement between the delivery agent and Shashank’s sister -in -law, who went to the gate to collect orders. The dispute was a mismatch at the delivery address. Shashank said that he intervened after listening to the argument. He claimed that the delivery agent abused him orally and then assaulted him, punched him again and again before he escaped into his face and head. Shashank later paid attention to therapy and was informed that he had faced a skull fracture. He said that doctors can consider surgery if the injury is not cured within a week. The businessman shared details of the incident on Instagram with CCTV footage and called on the delivery platform to take responsibility. In response, Zepto said: “We have regrets any inconvenience. Professional conduct is necessary for us, we will ensure that it has been addressed.” The police confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under section 115 (voluntary injury), 126 (wrong restraint), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (deliberately insulting with the intention of violation of peace). An investigation is going on.
