‘We gave the first real reaction’: Amit Shah says that the Modi government has identified the turn point with Operation Sindoor.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday gave a strong message on terrorism during the Border Security Force (BSF) investment ceremony and Rustomji Memorial Lecture, which highlights a change in India’s security response under the present government. Shah said that Pakistan had made many serious excitements in the past, but the previous governments failed to give a proper answer. “We have always worked defensively to protect our people,” he said, praising the efforts of the police, army and BSF. “But we never gave a fitting reply.” Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for a turn, which came to power in 2014. He recalled the deadly Uri attack, where Indian soldiers were burnt alive, it was called a moment that demanded more than just condemnation. “For the first time, we crossed the terrorist hideout and carried out surgical attacks,” Shah said. Later, after the Pulwama attack in which CRPF soldiers lost their lives, the Indian Air Force responded with airstrikes targeting the terrorist infrastructure.Talking about the Pahgam attack, Shah said, “In Pahalgam, innocent pilgrims were brutally killed by Pakistan -backed terrorists after asking their religion.” “Prime Minister Modi had told the land of Bihar, the response would be appropriate,” Shah said. “Operation Sindore is that response,” he said. He thanked the armed forces and offered to congratulate the entire nation. “The world is now praising our army and the decisive stand of India,” Shah said, underlining the government’s difficult currency on national security and anti -terrorism.
